THE ADMINISTRATION OF STEROIDS
(PREDNISONE, PREDNISILONE, CORTISONE, VETALOG, DEXAMETHASONE, ETC.)

Giving Steroids to an animal or person is a double edged sword. In absolute emergencies of Life or Death, steroids can save lives. Some examples are extreme allergic reaction from any substance that causes anaphylactic shock Anaphylaxis causes shut down of breathing, heart function and circulation, with sudden death in the victim. Steroids are an absolute necessity to immediately reverse these symptoms. Or in cases of severe trauma to the head, extremities or internal organs, where the body’s reaction to the trauma produces edema and swelling to the tissues of the brain, extremities or internal organs that produce a shutdown in their functions. I am in perfect agreement with using steroids in these serious acute cases.    I take issue  with the continual use of steroids over time by the medical and veterinary profession.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE HEALTH ISSUES STEROIDS ARE CHRONICALLY ADMINISTERED?

The most conditions are chronic allergies: dermatitis is the biggest one in animals (and people), arthritis is second, and asthma is a third.  In man, tinnitis is a big one, because the constant ringing of the ears make people desperate to have any treatment to stop this noise in their heads. Unfortunately long- term steroid administration has a dark side.

WHAT DOES CHRONIC USE OF STEROIDS PRODUCE IN THE BODY AND HOW DOES IT IMPAIR HEALTH?

It is the WORST treatment for allergies and dermatitis as it depresses an already impaired immune system that is causing the dermatitis and allergies in the first place and adds one more drug toxin to the body’s already overburdened systems.

It produces imbalances in the endocrine glands. Have you ever noticed the increased body weight, sluggishness, and “moon-faced” individuals?  Moon- faced symptoms are due to water retention and electrolyte salt retention caused by the steroids producing edema in the tissues of the face:  Our past president Jack Kennedy, was on chronic steroids for his back pain, and currently one of my favorite actors, William Shatner, suffers the same fate from administered long term steroids for his severe Tinnitis.

Steroids depress the immune system function, and leave the body defenseless to the invasion by parasites, bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Many patients succumb to unresponsive infections that orthodox medicine treats with more and more potent antibiotics. Antibiotics can kill off the good bacteria in the small intestine that is necessary to digest proteins So these patients end up with multiple problems: addition of more toxic drugs in the system and lack of essential proteins to maintain cellular structures and digestive enzymes.  Long-term steroid therapy can produce non-regenerative anemia, weakening of the skeletal bone structure with resultant osteoporosis and fractures, and autoimmune diseases (Lupus in people, Hemolytic Auto-Immune Syndrome in dogs, tumors and cancer.)

Steroids also make it difficult to affect any beneficial affects from homeopathy and acupuncture, which rely on some form of operating immune system. 

WHAT CAN WE DO?

Before any response to orthodox or holistic alternative natural treatments can be effective, one has to cleanse the tissues of the steroids, with sequential detoxification with Homeopathic Detox Steroid Nosodes of   progressively higher and higher potencies, going back in time, sequentially, until the very first steroid administered to the patient has been cleansed out of the body.
